Get 50% discount off normal adult non advance purchase off-peak fares on rail travel within Suffolk. Off-peak tickets from National Express include:

• Cheap Day – single and return

• Saver – single and return

• Standard Day / Open single or return (if the above two types of ticket don't exist for your journey)

• Anglia Plus – one day and 3 days in 7 passes

Off-peak tickets are available weekends and bank holidays, and are normally after 08:45 Monday to Friday.

In addition, National Express offers a discount on off-peak tickets to the following destinations outside Suffolk:

• Cambridge

• Chelmsford

• Colchester

• Diss

• Ely

• Harwich

• Manningtree

• Norwich

Rail journeys to destinations outside Suffolk must either start from a station within the county, or from one of the following:

• Bures

• Diss

• Haddiscoe

• Manningtree

• Thetford

For destinations outside Suffolk, Explore Cardholders must buy a return rail ticket before travelling. Apart from at the stations listed above, National Express rail staff outside Suffolk will not recognise Explore Cards.

Explore Card holders can buy tickets:

• at staffed ticket offices if possible (if the ticket office is open you must buy the tickets from there - you will not be eligible for a discount if you buy on the train)

• on trains if there is no open ticket office at the starting station, or

• from the national Express telesales office on 0845 600 7245.
