PASS

You may have noticed the shiny hologram on the front of your card. This is to show that the card is official proof of age identification, certified by PASS (National Proof of Age Standards Scheme).

This means that you can gain access to the age-restricted goods and services to which you are legally entitled. Retailers will check the photo and date of birth to ensure the sale can proceed.

Current age restrictions are

Tobacco & Cigarettes: 18+

Lottery: 16+

Alcohol: 18+

Fireworks: 18+

Lighter fluid/gas etc 18+

Knives: 18+

Because the PASS scheme is a national scheme, the hologram should be recognised all over the UK. However if your card is refused as official proof of age, please contact us with as many details as possible on 08456 066 067, or e-mail the explore admin team.
